Well i've started Hebrew. I'm learning the Alef Beit (alphabet). Heh it's like preschool for adults. Too bad they don't have a sesame street in hebrew for us to watch. lol anyway it's fun and i'm having a good time learning the letters. The hardest part is getting that gutteral 'ch' sound.. like yech when something is gross. 'ch'.. i can't get enough spit in the back of my throat. my mouth is always so dry. if i sip water i can do it... 'ch'... heh i'll get it sooner or later. Right now i need to remember the letters. i'm having a good time with it. what's really cool is that there will be no shortage of people to speak it with. that's the trouble usually with learning a foreign language... you forget everything because you don't actually get to use it in day to day life. Hebrew though, I will get to use it all the time with people who have lived their whole lives speaking it. Very groovy. lol when i was in the hospital i was writing some Hebrew and my pdoc saw it and said 'what's that?'.. i said "Hebrew" and she said "i'll take your word for it"... lol she thought it was some kind of schizophrenic code making or secret language or something. if i'd been in the mood at the time i could have told her it was alien code and then said just kidding ha ha... but alas... i missed my opportunity for laughter and making fun of my psychosis because i was too psychotic at the time to think of humor. sigh oh well. more later!
