I've been having a real hard time with symptoms this past week and this week so far. My boss even noticed that i was somewhat incoherent last week and "fuzzy". I told him I was having problems with my schizophrenia and that i probably should have called in sick but I don't want to give in like that. i HATE this disease and i'm NOT going to let it rule my life!!!!!! That being said, Monday (Yesterday), I was accused by my boss of having left early on Friday. I most certainly did NOT leave early and sent several emails to the union and to Stephen and Rodney (who said he'd seen me leave early on several occasions). I was told by George (another manager) to always go by the time on my phone. Well that's what I was doing. The time on the computer was 4 minutes slower than my phone clock. so i went to the network admins and got a screen print showing I logged out at 4:27:30. With the 4 minutes discrepancy that means I left at 4:31:30. NOT EARLY.. RIGHT ON TIME. So I emailed my argument and my proof in another email. I asked that the clocks be fixed and they were so now the phone matches the computer... but to cover my ass I told my boss that I'm going to start emailing myself in the morning when i sign in and at night before I sign out. That way I'll have irrefutable proof of when I come and go. Much to my dismay however, after testing it I found that the email time is 6 minutes off! So I asked that that be corrected too. At that point Stephen came into my office and said I was being way too paranoid.. that it was clear it was a clock discrepancy... end of story. I said "SUE ME... HELLOOO paranoid schizophrenic here??" He said that I don't need to keep a record of my comings and goings but i'll tell you right now that i AM going to do that because around here you really have to cover your ass. I told him I just don't like being accused of something I didn't do. I work too hard to stay functional and be here at ALL to end up written up over a matter of 4 minutes or less, ESPECIALLY when I followed instructions and left according to my phone clock. EVERY TIME. I HATE how the managers here have to be so nitpicky anyway. WHO THE HELL CARES even if i DID leave 2 minutes early??? Which I didn't but you know what i'm saying. Good Lord, they need something else to do if they have the time to be spying on whether i log out 30 seconds before 4:30 or not. I'm covering my ass. What they need to do is go after GALEN because that fucker goes HOME during the day and noone knows where he is so they call his cell phone and he says 'oh i'm on the road to this clinic or that clinic'... but when you call those clinics later they say they haven't seen him all week. THAT'S what and who they should be worrying about. Oh but nooo Galen can do no wrong. He never gets written up. He flat out tells Stephen that he will not do what is asked of him because he just is too busy and doesn't have time. This is when a LOOK from anyone else can result in a write up for insubordination. I am not a racist and I am not implying that Galen is this way because he is black. What I AM saying is that BECAUSE he's black (the only one in the whole department) that management is AFRAID to write him up for anything for fear of being accused of discrimination and therefore LET him get away with EVERYTHING!!! It's not right and i'm sick of it!!!
