On Sunday, July 23rd, I will be baptized by full immersion into the Messianic Judaic faith by Rabbi Loren in Waterford, Michigan.

To be Messianic means that you believe in Yeshua (Hebrew for 'Jesus') as the Messiah, but worship Him in the original Jewish context with Jewish believers and Gentiles together. I go to Congregation Shema Yisrael in Bloomfield Hills on Shabbat (the Sabbath) every week. I'm very excited and have been wanting to do this for some time. This will not only baptise me in the eyes of God but it will also make me an official member of Congregation Shema Yisrael and I will be able to participate in the bread and wine offerings.

On another note, Cari is coming to live with me! We have planned to go get her on Thursday July 20th. That will give us a full day on friday together to recover from the 12+ hour trip and to settle in before going to synagogue on saturday and the baptism on sunday. I'm so glad at least one of my friends will be there for it. I'm very happy and excited!!!
Oh and my goal is to lose 20 more pounds before the baptism.
