The show has come and gone and I didn't die from extreme anxiety! woo hoo! Honestly, i was so nervous i can't believe it. I've recieved some very good feedback on the dr. phil website message boards, the schizophrenia.com message boards, and from family members. two people from work said they saw the show and thought i did really well. A couple of people on the dr phil boards said i am demon possessed and i need an exorcism. then one pain in the ass guy appropriately named "tom pain" is completely anti-psychiatry and says i've just never learned how to 'deal' with my illness. Well as I replied to him, angrily, i said excuse me but i 'dealt' with this illness on my own for 12 years!!! and i'm working thanks to meds and what is he doing? he's sitting on a monthly social security disability check. Which of us is more effectively 'dealing' with our illness?? Hmmmm I wonder. Well now that that is over, i'm battling the flu. it's on it's way out though and should be gone by the time Maz arrives on thursday night (WOO HOOO!) I'm so excited. I can't wait! I loaned my tape of the show to my trainer at the gym. she said she wanted to borrow it. I think i'm going to skip the gym today, however, and rest to kick the remainder of this flu thing.
The phone has been ringing off the hook today but that's ok because noone is on right now to talk to anyway. (((hugs to Maz)))) (Everything will be ok.. i promise)
