** New Section ** - Ask Maz
In category General on 30 Apr 2007 @ 01:47 pm
Today I decided to add a new section to my site. "Ask Maz". Typically for nerdier themed questions that you want a quick fix for but I'll open it up to anything that I might have a hope of answering for now.

The main problem is that I'm too lazy to actually create a new section of my site so how about we just use the comments here for this week or something?

I was inspired by reading random forums that have years old threads that don't have answers. I could answer them easily but I doubt anyone would be back to check it, and I'm too lazy to register.

So ask away. And try keep it reasonable please.

What's the difference between more and less?

Not more than 7/16ths, (seven sixteenths), of the known universe, (on average).

What's the best device for recording from a line source that is perhaps as compact or affordable (!?) as an iPod? If it has / accepts a microphone, then even better; but only if it doesn't add too much to the cost.

Best for doing what? My old mp3 player used to have a line-in and it was relatively inexpensive. I'm not sure of the quality you'd get out of it because it would compress it to mp3 (you could set it to up to 320kb/s).
A quick google search finds some interesting stuff like http://reviews.cnet.com/4321-6490_7-6543950.html.

Is it possible to engineer some sort of virus or prion that eats away at the face of anyone who listens to Dragonforce?

Or failing that, make your URL field a bit longer. What if my website was hidden in a Google cache?

You know I'd do it.

First. No. You'll have to kill them the old fashioned way. With a bat (with +2 of killing).

Not making the URL field longer, that is a design feature. It stops KJ seeing how many chars it holds and filling the screen. I could remove it all together if that would be easier?
