I took almost exactly the same shot as that Christmas deco one just the other day. Didn't upload it anywhere yet though.

I was on my way home from Kangaroo Pt last night and I was putting my camera away on the ferry and as soo as I had, I noticed the full moon rising.
So I jumped off the ferry at Southbank and managed to get a couple of good photos of it.
The best photo opportunities always occur when you don't have a camera in your hand.

My faves are the man on the cliff (love his shadow) and the moon over the city. Are the portraits just people on the street, or people you know (e.g. the cyborg with red hair)? I'd love to do street portraiture.

They are people on the street that I just surprise. So I don't really get the chance to line up a great shot. I just take what I can get. The majority are coming out quite good.

That's great, that's why they look so good. Spontaneity is almost always better than pose. You are getting some good street portraits. :)

The parents, especially the dad, are really impressed. My fave is the reflection in the Christmas bauble and dad's....well all of them!
