Work + website = unemployment?

This is just a reminder for me, (and possibly everyone else), to ask their respective places of work about their policy on personal websites and the information contained therein. Not that I post a whole heap but it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to accidentally talk about something and get myself in trouble. It's best to know the boundaries so I can consciously avoid them.
My contract contains details on things like this. Nowadays, everyone's probably should, but I suppose my job is directly dealing with this sort of stuff and does contain access to a lot of sensitive information so they're more careful about specifying things like that up front.

Simple rule of thumb that I follow: If people reading your site can work out what company you work for, you've written too much.

But it's not just that. No one will know who I work for but its to do with the intellectual property rights of the things I might talk about.

Does this all apply to me when I graduate from BA(Music) and start working on a City Cat?

Nice work on the laptop, I'll have to come have a look at it.
Shopping lists are for amateurs and women.
