Lian Li RH-42 mobile rack keys
In category General on 02 Mar 2006 @ 01:17 am
Recently I aquired a Lian Li RH-42 mobile rack but both of the keys have been lost. As easy as it is to turn the lock with a pen lid I was curious to know where someone would go to find such an item. I was also wondering if someone who reads this might have 2 keys and be willing to part with one? I figure the computer markets would be the best place to find such keys but I think it might just be impossible. Any other suggestions?

Aren't there only like 3 different barrel keys?

It basically looks like this:

(I wasted 15 minutes drawing this.)
It's a round hole with a pin to be able to turn it, but the key must have flattened edges because as you turn it, 4 ball bearings push in towards the core. It's possible to do with a pen lid but takes 15 minutes.

Apparently this is a very standard kind of key. After I drew that I started noticing that nearly all the round keys are the same. There is a key for the cash register at my old work that can be used on this mobile rack.

I’d imagine you can buy one then, even if it’s a “spare” cash register key.
