This is just a list of differences I started making in my head while I was grocery shopping..

- You have to be 21 to buy alcohol? That's just silly.
- I'm drinking vodka with Dr Pepper! You remember that stuff right? (also may be responsible for my typo's)
- There are very few flavours of chips here. Certainly none of the good ones.
- 'Chips' here is different to french fries. We call both of them chips so how do we know?
- The lollies section/isle in the supermarket is half the size it should be.
- Chocolate is sort of bitter here, even Cadbury. I don't like it. Trying other varieties now.
- There are no blocks of dove chocolate. There are individually packaged pieces like there are individually packaged lifesavers...
- Smirnoff 'triple blacks' have 5% alcohol which is false advertising when the Aust. 'double blacks' are double shots of vodka.
- I haven't seen a Mars bar although I am assured they exist here.
- What do we call 'puddings' in Aust.? You know the Yogo sorts of things..
- oh yeah. What is the deal with Meijers and Target and stuff here. Same company as Aust. or just coincidence that the names are the same?
- I can buy a BB gun over the counter. LOL.
- PEOPLE DRIVE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!
- There's snow here! (not really a cultural difference but neither is half this list)
- American football (grid iron) is so weak. But we already knew that.
- It costs money to recieve phone calls.
- 110V @ 60Hz. Nuff said.
- American's (maybe not all of them, but generally) hate English comedy. I'd kill for some episodes of Red Dwarf right now.

I'm sure there are a lot more. And I could go on more about some of the points but I guess that is better left for comments. If anyone has anything that they think should be here (for the sake of completeness) just leave comments. Also if they want to argue with me about any of them just leave comments, but by doing so you give me the right to edit them and insult you.
