There was just a car smash on our street tonight at abut 12:50am. Of course being a uni student area during exam period, there was about 20 people to run out as they were driving off. My housemates and I were some of the first ones out just in time to see them doing a 3-point turn and driving the wrong way down the one way street. We managed to get the licence plate as they sped off again.

It would appear that they were definitely speeding and probably drunk as they came up the first bit of the hill before our place and nearly hit Chris' car before locking up the brakes, sliding 2 houses down the street before hitting a parked Falcon. Normally there would be 3 cars parked in that space (one of them mine) but tonight we were all parked elsewhere. Then as they sped off again they were swerving all over the road and nearly hit Lara's car as well. I'd say at the speed they were going they're going to be very sore, before getting the bill for the car and then before they get charged for dangerous driving. The police came and took details and we'll find out what happens tomorrow.

If they had hit my car and not a 90's model Falcon with a crumple zone they wouldn't have been driving anywhere after that...

Is you having to lean your car up against a tree, thereby saving it from car-crash damage, a sign of divine intervention?

I think so.

God cut your brakes man, let's get him.

Watch out for Jesus as the third man in, he's packing a cross.
