Anyone doing INFS3204 right now knows EXACTLY what I mean. For those of you who aren't doing it, a general description of the assigment is to make a website (using a zillion web services) to control enrolment and staffing of courses and degrees. Our lecturer has been kind enough to give us a database (in MS Access) to use for this assignment..

Now..
- Table names and row names have spaces in them,
- All the fields are null,
- Course descriptions have been used as part of the primary key,
- No database integrity,
- A series of unrelated tables,
- The task sheet isn't in proper english (or any other language),
- The assignment has nothing to do with the lectures (which also aren't in english),
- My IIS account was never set up (which is required to complete the pracs), and
- He's on holidays right now, so we can't raise any complaints with him this week.

So it sounds like a fun course all 'round doesn't it? Seeing I was unable to complete the practicals and lost 12% of my marks already, I need to do relatively well on the final exam. Instead of trying to get scurvy I plan to spell-check and grammar-check the exam paper (which should be done before we have to sit it right?) and get any stupid questions scrapped off the paper.

P.S. If Shazia saw the data he has given us she'd be appalled.
But wait, there's still more.
The passwords stored in the database are null. You can't input a null character, thus making it quite sufficitenly difficult to login.

Complain. Complain lots. If no one does, nothing will improve.
