Does scurvy still exist?
In category General on 03 Oct 2005 @ 11:12 pm
Even in this day and age it is still possible to get scuvry. Two "people I know" have taken it upon themselves to prove a point, (and try and get out of sitting uni exams in 5 weeks), and have decided to try and get scurvy before the exam study break. Sef and Scruff aim to do this by eating a diet consisting mostly of bread, jelly, alcohol and meat. After work tonight I stopped by to see how it was going and to deliver some scurvy-friendly food so they maintain a bit of variety while still endeavouring to complete their noble quest. Scruff's site is availiable at http://www.koczorowski.com/ and has more of the details while Sef maintains a blog over at http://clintfelmingham.com/.

With a total disregard for their health and a public forum, (i.e. the internet), Sef and Scruff have captured the stupid half of people's hearts and along with this collected some pretty interesting emails. More info availiable on Scruff's site.

As they say, "Chicks dig scurvy. Glory is forever." - Sef
You should charge those two advertising fees for you plugging their gig on your site

No way. It's totally a worthwhile cause!

You can get out of exams for almost anything... runny nose, stress, menopause, missing limbs, etc., and then you have to do the exam later. I don’t see the point (not to mention that you’d have to be an idiot to intentionally try to eat poorly).

You know what's scary? I got an email about that site from someone totally unconnected with you. That thing is really doing the rounds.
