What's that burning smell? Not another Abit!

Well after buying a dozen or so Abit motherboards that have all had the northbridge fans fail. I have a new addition to the list. The Abit GF5600 that I had has lost its fan. Literally. As I walked into the room I could smell the burning components. When I finally got around to pulling apart the computer this morning I found the fan blades sitting in the bottom of the case. Where the fan had been in the graphics card there was a bit of burning fan controller and a scorch mark on the heatsink..

I'd have to call this a bad sign. Now as far as I can tell the rest of the card survived all this fiasco and if I could I'd still like to be able to use it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how attach a new fan to the card just in case it needs it?
If possible I'd rather not have to drill holes through the board and put in some big screws.. But I will if I have to.

It's only the spare one. But it beats onboard display adapters.

Personally id just make sure it has good airflow over the heatsink and/or maybe duct tape a case fan over the thing...
