Random girls and being a goth

The random girls is about someone I don't recognise saying "Hi Maz" and then I have to spend the rest of the day trying to work out who they are. So please, anyone who decideds to say hi to me in the streets.. If I look confused, please either refresh my memory as to who you are or tell me that I don't know you. I have a terrible memory for people so I just pretend to recognise everyone who talks to me.
As to the goth thing.. It's a bit of a joke as far as I'm concerned. As I was walking back to KJ's from Indro a 4x4 full of guys decided to start yelling something about me being a goth. Personally I don't like the idea of being put into a category based solely on how I look (expecially when I wait to use all my clothes before washing). I didn't know what exactly makes a goth so for the first 40 minutes of this INFS lecture I've been doing a bit of research into the topic.
There seems to be 2 schools of thought on the matter. The group that think there is nothing more to being a goth than the clothes and the music, and the group that believe that there is a deeper set of beliefs there or something. And I found a lot of people who are just having fun insulting anyone asking the question, (See: "The Am I a Goth, Trendy or Alternative Test". I am 50% goth, 30% trendy and 20% alternative).
If you want to read up on the people who talk about a deeper meaning to being goth, there is a description at http://www.blood-dance.net/goth/origins.html.
In summary, I am just too damn lazy to be anything except myself.
