Software is pissing me off. Namely IIS (it's woeful!!) and java. Java is more of a language but it's pissing me off. First IIS; it was working fine yesterday. Then without changing anything or even connecting to the machine it's running on, all my user accounts lost their access. No FTP for me! Luckily I finally changed the webserver over to apache so my site didn't go down.
Java!!! I spent a few hours yesterday writing an applet which is on my site.. but is completley useless because I can't seem to sign it. So it can't escape the java sandbox and NO SOCKETS WORK!
On the plus side, I was thinking about how the ability to troubleshoot problems on windows systems means I can have a crack at fixing like 90% of the worlds desktop computers.
This had no point, I just wanted to complain.
