August 21st, MMIII.This was written in a series of IMs to a friend who was away. Yes, I am silly like that. Anyway, it was all very spur of the moment, stream-of consciousness. And yes, I do use ballet terms because I am a ballerina. The words are basically "step of two" or"step of three". Type of movement you do with a partner or with two partners. But yeah. I really like the idea of the opalescent woman with a parasol of stars that shakes souls from its fringes. I could actually makes something of this. Hmm.

Rose colored globes sitting in the palms of my hands.
Water-rolled facets glinting against the night.
They meld as I push them together
and become oblong as I pull them apart.
I hurl them against the walls causing a rosey explosion and sending the glittering facets to form new globes that hang upon the air.
Watch them sway.
They dance lightly, slowly, in the breeze, forming little figures in the shape of fay.
The fay pirouette, forming pas de deuxs and pas de trois's as wind chimes tinkle in the air.
I roll tear-drop blue marbles in my hand. Reverse, slo-mo. They slide back into my eyes and down my throat.
In a second,
in a blink of an eye,
the world morphs into a creature of malachite and ice,
bloodstone spinning in elaborate fractals for eyes.
It sees all.
It knows what you think, it smells your fear.
You are the world,
it is your saviour, your partner in crime
it is your executor.
In your blood-streaked dreams it is your comfort, cooling your fevered brow.
In your golden blossom-blooming dreams, it is there, your tormentor. The danger lurking in your shadows.
It will be there to lull you to sleep at night and kiss you in the mornings,
changing from that malachite and ice being into an opalescent woman, her parasol of stars spinning spinning over your head,
shaking the souls from its fringes.
